Handmade watch strap made with beautiful Horween Shell Cordovan leather. The sample watch band is hand-stitched with olive thread. Feel free to chose any other stitching color from the offered options and mention it in the comments to seller when placing an order.

SHELL CORDOVAN

Shell Cordovan is a premium leather type, used in production of the high-end watch straps. Cordovan is an equine leather made from the fibrous flat muscle (or shell) beneath the hide on the rump of the horse. The leather derives its name from the city of Cordoba, Spain, where it was first produced by the Visigoths in the seventh century. It is a difficult and expensive leather to make, and in the late 19th and early 20th century was mostly used for razor strops to sharpen razors in barber shops. More recently it has been increasingly used for shoes, wallets, and watch straps due to its aesthetic qualities and exceptional durability. Shell cordovan has a unique non-creasing characteristic. Shell Cordovan leather we use is sourced from the Tuscany, Italy finest tanneries and are absolutely unique in their color. The leather is hot-stuffed, using natural products, special blend of greases, waxes, and oils . Hot stuffing is technically part of a retanning process where fats/greases/oils nourish the fibers of the skin. The retanning process is responsible for most of the leather characteristics in terms of tactile and other sensory qualities (look, feel, and smell). Hot stuffing is special because it allows to use raw, less refined conditioning agents like beeswax, tallow, lanolin and paraffin while processing the leather. These impart very favorable characteristics, like water resistance and leather durability, nice texture.

Medium Length - 120/80mm - Wrist Size 6 1/2" to 7 1/2"

The thickness of the leather is about 1,8-2,2 mm. Can be increased with leather or Alcantara lining (see dropdown menu below).

Includes stainless steel buckle. Please, chose stainless steel buckle model from the given models in the images.
